This Week, I chose to continue exploring Creative Coding. By watching a tutorial on YouTube, I learned how to create a moving geometric shape in p5.js (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmhRlDyPHMQ&list=PLwUlLzAS3RYow0T9ZXB0IomwB-DyBRTfm). Afterward, through my curiosity and asking help from ChatGPT, I filled the entire canvas with the geometric shape and added interactive effects with the mouse. When the mouse moves, the shape begins to rotate and scale, giving the whole pattern a 3D feel. When clicking on the canvas, the shape stops following the mouse, and clicking again allows it to interact with the mouse again. This interaction allows viewers to adjust the pattern to their preferred angle to watch those geometric shapes moving.

I find Creative Coding particularly fascinating in current era because creators don’t need extensive programming skills in order to make their creations. With just an idea, they can use online tutorials and AI tools like ChatGPT to bring their vision to life. Additionally, Creative Coding offers countless opportunities to explore. Many people create visually artistic generative art with p5.js or Processing, while their work is always combining with music and other media, which inspires me to continue my own exploration.
