Making Connections: Potential of Scanography for Classroom Teaching

I think that scanography is a great media for teaching students in grades 6-12. This lesson can be conducted in a computer lab. Students are encouraged to bring materials suitable for scanning, and the teacher can also provide additional items, such as objects for scanning and colored filter paper, to inspire creativity. The class can begin with an introduction to scanography, featuring examples from established scanography artists. Students will then work in small groups of 3-5 to create pieces based on several specific themes. Through this process, they can unleash their creativity and make the most out of the materials they brought. Additionally, by requiring them to work in groups, it also helps them develop their communication and collaboration skills, allowing them to exchange ideas and create more interesting works.
